Meghan Markle became a brand new mother on Monday, and mother’s day is coming up soon.
Markle plans to spend her first mother’s day at home with family, according to a report published Friday by Entertainment Tonight.
The Duchess’ mom Doria Ragland has been in town since the end of April to help out with the birth of baby Archie and to help Markle get settled into motherhood. It’s likely the two will celebrate together. (RELATED: The Reason Behind Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Baby’s Name)
As previously reported, the royal baby was born in the early hours of May 6 and Prince Harry and Markle introduced Archie to the world Wednesday in a scheduled press conference. The wait between the baby’s birth and the first public debut is a break from tradition. Kate Middleton and Prince William posed immediately following the birth of all three of their children.
The new royal family has enjoyed the first days of parenting.
“It’s magic,” Markle told media. “It’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy. He has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm. It’s been a special couple of days.”
“Parenting is amazing. It’s only been, what, two-and-a half days, three days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy, and to be able to spend some special time with him as he slowly starts to grow up,” Prince Harry added.
