Liberal activist Alyssa Milano used Twitter to call for a “sex strike” Friday night.
The actress’ idea was presumably in protest of various recent legal curbs on abortion passed by several states, moves she views as attacks on “our reproductive rights.”
“Our reproductive rights are being erased,” Milano wrote. “Until women have legal control over our own bodies we just cannot risk pregnancy. JOIN ME by not having sex until we get bodily autonomy back. I’m calling for a #SexStrike. Pass it on.”

Milano did earn a supportive tweet or two …
Join us in helping cis men feel the physical consequences of our reproductive rights being systematically eliminated! #SexStrike https://t.co/ep9VHmKVtB

I fully support the fight for women to have autonomy over their own bodies—including the #SexStrike.
(Though I also suspect that those men hateful enough to legislatively subjugate women—aren’t having much sex to begin with, nor do they yield to consent).#RealMenAreProChoice— John Pavlovitz (@johnpavlovitz) May 11, 2019
Many Twitter users though roundly mocked the actress’ idea. (RELATED: Alyssa Milano Says She’s ‘A Gay Man’ In Weird Tweet, Doubles-Down On Critics)
“This is AMAZING,” wrote DailyWire’s Ryan Saavedra. “Let’s hope they stop reproducing altogether.”

“Don’t let anyone talk you out of this Alyssa,” wrote director Robby Starbuck. “It’s a fantastic idea. Less clients for Planned Parenthood!”
Don’t let anyone talk you out of this Alyssa. It’s a fantastic idea. Less clients for Planned Parenthood! It’s what we’ve always wanted. ????????????

There were plenty more:
Not sure this was thought through, but the pro life crowd supports your call to abstinence to prevent abortions. Well done! https://t.co/rnWK5ukZLK

Unless the pro-choice women were all having sex with the pro-life politicians I’m not sure how effective this is going to be https://t.co/GInAHvd23b

Does anyone else see the irony in calling for a #sexstrike to gain choice regarding unintentional pregnancies?

All joking aside, this is literally the kind of self control conservatives have been advocating to make abortion unnecessary in the first place. https://t.co/IYHuWHg53E

Finally, Fox News contributor David Webb openly wondered how Milano’s husband was taking this whole thing:
Hey @dbugliari how’s this working out for you? Long cold showers or ?
