Priyanka Chopra opened up about her friendship with Meghan Markle and said her pal and new member of the royal family “was always meant for big things.”
“‘Megs… she was always meant for big things,” the 36-year-old actress shared during her cover story for Elle UK magazine published Tuesday for its August 2019 issue.

Chopra continued, “By the time this comes out, she will have a baby [Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on 6 May] – it’s so amazing how lives change. I’m a big believer in taking charge of your life, but there’s got to be something bigger that puts us into the circumstances that we are put in.”

The “Baywatch” star previously shut down reports that she and the Duchess of Sussex were feuding after skipping Markle’s star-studded baby shower in New York City in February.
“Oh my God, no! It’s not true,” Chopra explained.
During the same interview, the actress, who recently wed superstar Nick Jonas, said any criticism against the former “Suits” star was based simply on “racism.”
“It’s really unfortunate. If there’s anyone who can handle it, it’s her,” the actress shared. “Of course it has to do with racism. It’s an obvious reason.”
“But the beauty of Meg is that she’s been herself through all of this,” she added. “A lot of people got to know her after everything, but I knew her before [she began dating Prince Harry], and she’s the same chick.”
