A large majority of beer drinkers are scheduling their vacations around getting a few cold brews.

The New York Posted reported the following on Thursday afternoon on a poll from Visit Anaheim:

Beer and wine tourism is on the rise, as seven in 10 Americans have traveled to a destination specifically to sample the alcohol in the region.

Between the rise of craft beers and local breweries, 72 percent of beer drinkers have been on a “beercation” and taken time out of their trip to go to a tasting at a local brewery.

I can’t say I’m surprised. I can’t say I’m surprised at all. People love cold brews. It’s what America is all about. We didn’t go to Europe and defeat the Nazis so that we could come back and be told when we could and couldn’t drink beer. (SLIDESHOW: These Women On Instagram Hate Wearing Clothes)

This is America, and you best believe we’ll still be drinking beer no matter where our vacations are. I don’t care if they’re here, in Europe, in Mexico or in Asia. (SLIDESHOW: 142 Times Josephine Skriver Barely Wore Anything)

Wherever Americans go, we expect the beer to be flowing. (SLIDESHOW: 71 Times Samantha Hoopes Stripped Down)

Honestly, what are you doing with your life if you’re not drinking beer while on vacation? I went to Las Vegas (first vacation since college), and I made sure the hotels in the city were completely stocked.

Now, did I go to a brewery? No, but I did make sure the beer was flowing for all the college football games. I think that does more than enough to count. (SLIDESHOW: This Blonde Bombshell Might Be The Hottest Model On The Internet)

Next time you’re on vacation, make sure to grab a cold brew, crack it open and drink it up. Our founding fathers fought and died for your right to drink beer on vacation.

Don’t let it go to waste!
