It was like a scene from the movie that made her famous.
Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey was dubbed ‘a phoenix from the ashes’ as she returned to the top of the leaderboard on last night’s Dancing With The Stars.
Her stunning return to form came after the actress narrowly survived elimination when she found herself in the bottom two last week with Audrina Patridge.
Grey, 50, was seen sobbing in rehearsals as she struggled to perfect her routine. But her tears were premature, as the audience rose to their feet in a standing ovation following her tango with Derek Hough.
‘You’re a pheonix rising from the ashes,’ a delighted Bruno Tonioli told her. ‘The most splendid thing ever. You should have some confidence.’
