Sidney Harman, the stereo equipment magnate who bought Newsweek and sought to revive the floundering magazine, died last night of complications from acute myeloid leukemia, reported Deal Journal colleague Russell Adams.

Harman’s wife, Jane Harman, is a Democratic congresswoman for California.
