Myakka Pines Golf Club of Englewood, Fla. had an unexpected weekend visitor that wasn’t there to golf.

According to WPTV in West Palm Beach, several golfers approaching the No. 7 green were halted by a massive alligator. The gigantic reptile wandered out of a nearby pond and took up residence roughly three feet away from the flagpole.

Local golfers Bill Susie and Dick Huber took pictures of the animal and shared them with Myakka Pines. The club shared the photos on its Facebook page over the weekend.

Some are questioning the validity of the pictures, but you can observe for yourself.

The small golf course couldn’t believe all the publicity it was getting for its dinosaur visitor.
