#NotAllMuslims In Britain Charged With Supporting ISIS

Font Size:

Ladies and gentlemen: Anjem Choudary.

That was last May. What has the lovely Imam Choudary been up to lately? BBC News:

Radical preacher Anjem Choudary has appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court charged with inviting support for the so-called Islamic State.

He and another man Mohammed Rahman, indicated they would plead not guilty…

Both men have each been charged with one offence under section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000, alleged to have taken place between 29 June 2014 and 6 March this year…

Sue Hemming, of the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “It is alleged that Anjem Choudary and Mohammed Rahman invited support for Isis [also known as IS] in individual lectures which were subsequently published online.”

Hey, whatever happened to free speech? Why can’t a guy openly support terrorism? Etc.

Hat tip to Ace, who notes:

In various interviews, when asked if he supported ISIS, Choudary would not quite answer, because his answer would be inciting terrorism. What he would say is something like All good, faithful Muslims are required to support the Caliphate, without specifying if he himself was a good and faithful Muslim.

Seems like the British authorities have seen through that brilliant smokescreen.

Finally.
