Police responded to an active shooter situation at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas Friday. A local sheriff has confirmed that at least two people have been killed, although more may be injured.
The Associated Press has reported that the attack may have been a murder-suicide.
Reports of an active shooter at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland came in around 9 a.m. local time. It appears that the shooting took place at the base’s Medina annex. Local media sources in San Antonio have reported that as of 9:30 local time, the shooting was still active. It is also unclear whether or not a single or multiple gunmen are responsible for the attack.

The attack coincided around the same time the Air Force was planning to conduct a graduation ceremony for airmen graduating from Basic Military Training.
