Center for American Progress’ President Neera Tanden called her wn organization’s blogger’s “crazy leftists” when a blog post during the Democratic presidential primary called a Hillary Clinton attack against Bernie Sanders “dishonest.”
A January 14 e-mail conversation between Tanden and Clinton campaign personnel — which was posted on Wikileaks as a result of a reported hack of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s Gmail account — includes different articles discussing the differences between Clinton’s and Sanders’ healthcare plans.
One of the articles listed in the e-mail chain forwarded from Clinton campaign staffer Tony Carrk is a Think Progress piece dated January 14 and headlined at the time, “Hillary Clinton Makes Dishonest Attack > On Bernie Sanders’ Health Care Plan.”
Podesta replied, “Maybe we can work on the headlines.”
Tanden, responded, “I will. They are crazy leftists down there.”
Ultimately, the headline of the Think Progress piece did change to, “What You Need To Know About Hillary Clinton’s Attack On Single-Payer Health Care.”
