Chelsea Handler announced this week that she will cancel her Netflix original show, “Chelsea.”
She released a long winded statement yesterday about how the decision was made entirely from a political standpoint.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Handler explains “from the national level down to grassroots, it’s clear our decisions at the ballot box next year will mark a defining moment for our nation. For these reasons, I’ve decided not to return for another season of Chelsea, and instead devote as much time as I can to becoming a more knowledgeable and engaged citizen and to focus on projects that have significance to me.”

I mean really. You’re canceling your lackluster show after two seasons for this? I didn’t know having a job and following politics were mutually exclusive.
The best response to this announcement has been Robert O’Neill’s. The former SEAL who claims to have delivered Osama Bin Laden a fatal shot dropped the hammer with one simple tweet.
This sure is a long way to say “my show was canceled” https://t.co/nDQOlDifv7

I guess after you successfully shoot the deadliest terrorist in the world you develop a pretty sensitive BS meter.
