The younger brother of the Las Vegas shooter, Stephen Paddock, has been arrested for possession of child pornography, TMZ reports.

According to TMZ, Bruce Paddock was arrested and taken into custody early Wednesday at an assisted living home in North Hollywood, California. The arrest was reportedly performed by a joint task force including the FBI and the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to the publication’s sources in law enforcement, the police were alerted to a tip that suggested Paddock was in possession of child porn on his computer. It is unclear if the tip was anonymous. They got a search warrant and executed it.

The sources told TMZ that the investigation into Bruce Paddock began before his brother Stephen massacred 58 people at a country music festival in Las Vegas earlier this month.

Sources also informed them that prior to Stephen Paddock’s mass shooting, police were attempting to locate his brother, Bruce, without success. Following the tragedy, the police received a tip that Bruce was living in an assisted living facility.

Police say that they found child pornography on his computer.
