Welcome to Today In Media, the show where The Daily Caller News Foundation singles out the media’s five stupidest takes of the day.

Watch:

The fifth stupidest take of the media today belongs to CNN’s Chris Cuomo, who stated, “I’ve got a brown guy with a beard who’s a Muslim who said he wanted to kill us and he’s proud of it Phil Mudd, that’s the only fact I need if I want to advance President Trump’s position to treat this guy like what he is, he’s a savage. That’s, that’s his position.”

“You have to take a certain amount of cognitive dissonance and maliciousness to think that President Trump is profiling this guy,” Saagar Enjeti commented.

Julia Nista stated, “Chris Cuomo is stereotyping a person on his show when he claims to be this morally righteous media elite person who would never do such a thing.”

More ridiculous media takes include: Nicolle Wallace’ shutdown of a discussion on the fact that the DNC and Clinton campaign funded the salacious Trump dossier, BuzzFeed’s call to ban cars, and Trump’s calling for the death penalty of the New York attacker when he didn’t call for the death penalty against Stephen Paddock in Las Vegas… Because Paddock shot himself…

Finally, the worst take of the day belongs to Keith Olbermann on The View. Cohost Sunny Hostin read out Olbermann’s tweet, which stated, “Trump and his family have done more damage to the country than Bin Laden and ISIS combined.” She then asked him, “Do you believe that?” To which he responded, “Yeah, we did really well after 9/11,” prompting a clapping response from the audience.

“That is one of the most repulsive and disgusting statements I have ever heard on air,” Enjeti weighed in.

“Trump is somehow worse than that, worse than Bin Laden?” Julia stated, questioning Olbermann’s comments.

Who will have the stupidest media take next time? Stay tuned to find out!
