Chris Pratt has reportedly filed for divorce from wife Anna Faris citing “irreconcilable differences,” TMZ reports.
The 38-year-old “Guardians of the Galaxy” star filed legal documents Friday to end their marriage. According to the report, Pratt and Faris filed for joint custody of their 5-year-old son Jack, with both reserving the right to receive spousal support.
The popular Hollywood couple announced in August that they were separating after eight years of marriage. In the joint statement, both stars said they were sad to announce they were legally separating.
“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” the joint statements read. “Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
The two met in 2007 when they worked on the movie “Take Me Home Tonight,” and later married in 2009. In 2012 their son Jack was born.
