Right-wing InfoWars provocateur Alex Jones chased after independent Sen. Bernie Sanders in LAX airport Monday.
Jones followed Sanders with his camera rolling, asking why Bernie does not think white people know what it’s like to be poor. Jones kept referencing Sanders’ comments during a 2016 presidential debate. Bernie said, “When you’re white, you don’t know what it’s like to be living in a ghetto. You don’t know what it’s like to be poor. You don’t know what it’s like to be hassled when you walk down the street or you get dragged out of a car.”
Jones asked the question repeatedly, but Sanders aides blocked him from interacting with the senator. For several minutes, Jones followed Bernie around the airport, calling him “king of communism.” Jones asked why Bernie, a democratic socialist, lives in a capitalist country. During one tense moment, a passenger confronted Jones about his promotion of a Sandy Hook conspiracy theory.
Jones is currently being sued by Sandy Hook families over the comments.
“Move to Venezuela, Bernie, your people there. You’ll like it,” Jones said.
