James Bond has been around for 56 years, bringing the world’s coolest secret agent character — and, not to mention, some of the sexiest women anyone has ever seen — to the big screen.
In 1962, the first Bond film, Dr. No, premiered. It started a long series of movies based on many novels written by author Ian Fleming. The first James Bond girl was Honey Ryder, played by the beautiful, Swiss Ursula Andress.
Ryder’s white, two-piece bikini with a knife holster on the side set the tone for future Bond girls to be sexy but also deadly. Other mentionable Bond girls include Octopussy, played by Maud Adams; Natalya Simanova, played by Izabella Scorupco; and Jinx Johnson, played by Halle Berry.
James Bond has been played by nine different actors, each one with his own suave charm. As the first to ever play 007, Sean Connery set the standard for the charm and composure of the character, leading the way for Daniel Craig to incorporate his own style of posh more recently.
But no matter who played the role of James Bond, the women in every movie steal the show.
