Here is how it works. Once you turn the cube on you simply move it to the amount of time you want set, and then flip that number to the top so the timer screen faces you. Then the countdown will begin, and it will beep when the time is up. You can get these cubes in various time intervals, such as seconds or minutes. And you can also get different minute sets, like shorter periods of time or longer periods of time. This particular cube timer includes 5, 10, 20 and 45 minute intervals. But the company makes timers in all sorts of intervals, ranging from 1, 3, 5 and 7 to 5, 15, 30 and 60.
