Former Red Sox (and Yankees) star Johnny Damon made a bold prediction concerning the upcoming ALDS matchup between the Red Sox and the Yankees.
The 44-year-old former outfielder told TMZ Sports that he believes the Yankees could upset the Red Sox in the ALDS, which begins on Friday night. (RELATED: BASEBALL LEGEND PRAISES TRUMP WITH COMMENTS THAT WILL INFURIATE LIBERALS)

No stranger to championships himself, the two-time World Series champ said he’s got the Yankees upsetting the Sox this weekend.
“New York’s my team. The Yankees — that’s who I want to win,” Damon said. “I think [the Yankees] upset them.”
Damon admitted that when he left the Sox after four seasons, it wasn’t exactly a clean break. He dealt with some contractual disagreements and was left with a sour taste in his mouth. But his following four seasons with the Yankees were smooth sailing. And he wants to see them succeed.
I doubt that’s how the rest of the baseball world feels, given Yankees fans’ abysmal display of sportsmanship on Wednesday night. (RELATED: LAST NIGHT’S YANKEES-ATHLETICS GAME PROVES JUST HOW TERRIBLE YANKEES FANS REALLY ARE)
