Evan Rachel Wood felt the need to get into a Twitter spat over her “Westworld” character.

The woman behind Dolores in the hit show tweeted that people shouldn’t date people “like the cop” in “Stranger Things,” and a person responded with, “You should never date a woman like Dolores/Wyatt from . They will legit kill you and reprogram your mind to make you do what they want. To the point you commit suicide. They are not sexy like TV would have you believe.” (RELATED: Watch ‘Westworld‘ Season 3 Trailer)

Wood responded with, “Indeed. I play a robot who murders people because they wouldnt stop raping and killing her for 30 years. Not saying thats right either. Though some would argue self-defense. Dolores is as single as they come.”

Why? Why did she feel the need to get into this Twitter spat? First off, her character is a robot. Can we just start there? Dolores is a robot in the hit HBO show in a theme park designed for the pleasure of the guests.

Can you really murder something that doesn’t even exist? Dolores also did some incredibly dark things through the first two seasons.

I’m not sure how anybody can think a few massacres qualify as self defense.

More importantly, I just don’t understand why Wood gets so triggered online. It doesn’t make sense to me at all.

She got all pissy with me simply because I pointed out not everything is about sexism when it comes to entertainment.

She’s the star of one of the greatest shows ever made. She must have better things to do, right? Instead of getting into pointless spats about robots, self-defense and dating, why don’t we all agree to just focus on making the third season as great as possible.

I think that’s something we can all agree on.
