Polling consistently shows Democratic nominee Joe Biden with a substantial lead over incumbent President Donald Trump. However, this polling pattern is in many ways similar to 2016 polls, which placed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with – in some instances – a 95% chance of winning.
