Actor Danny Trejo defended law enforcement after two Los Angeles cops were shot in an ambush.

Trejo, who owns a few restaurants, brought food to the families of Deputy Claudia Apolinar and the 24-year-old police officer she saved, according to an article published Tuesday by TooFab. Apolinar and her partner were both shot during an ambush back in September in Compton, the outlet reported.

Trejo claimed some “had the nerve” to ask him why he decided to feed the cops and their families.

“All the stuff I went through, I still wouldn’t lay an ambush on a mother and a 24 year old,” Trejo told the outlet.

Trejo also noted that he would “absolutely” sit down for a meeting with President Donald Trump if he were to win four more years, but only “if he wants to listen.”

“The problem is our administration hasn’t been listening,” Trejo told the outlet. “They won’t even listen to the scientists who are saying hey 5,000 people a day are dying. Everybody keeps saying ‘well we’re just turning the corner’ — that’s an awful wide 5,000 people a day corner.”
