Why do you love your college football team?

This is the question that Reddit is currently debating, and I can promise you that the answers will vary widely depending on who is answering. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

For me, the answer is incredibly simple when it comes to the Wisconsin Badgers. I love the Badgers because they’re the team I grew up with.

It’s really that simple. At the end of the day, people generally cheer for teams that are in the area they grew up.

Wisconsin has one D1 football team and it’s the Badgers. Everyone in the state loves the Badgers. There are no other options.

It’s in our DNA. It’s who we are.

At the same time, I also love the fact that we’re constantly overlooked, we don’t get amazing recruits and you can still set your clock to us winning 10 games a year.

We might bend sometimes, but we simply don’t break. It’s that simple.

Third and finally, I love the atmosphere surrounding Wisconsin. There’s nothing like Camp Randall after a few beers on a warm September night.

I went to Wisconsin vs. Nebraska in 2011 and it was one of the greatest nights of football I’ve ever experienced. It’s hard to put into words how awesome it was watching us kick their teeth in.
