The world of “Westworld” will expand in season four.

Season three took fans out of the park, and it sounds like we’re not just done yet with the expansion, according to creator Lisa Joy. (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters)

“You’re going to see some new worlds that I think are really fun and you’re going to see someone who I kidnapped from Reminiscence in a funny way,” Joy explained during a recent appearance on Deadline’s “Hero Nation” podcast.

Honestly, season three of “Westworld” was the season I liked the least. Season one was absolutely amazing the entire time, season two was nearly as strong, but season three – while good – had a noticeable decline.

Looking back, I’d give it a 7/10. Solid by any measurement, but not nearly as impressive as the first two seasons.

In large part, I didn’t like it because we were out of the park. The first two seasons were so awesome because we were experiencing the park and multiple different great storylines, most notably Dolores and the Man in Black.

In order for “Westworld” to return to its best form, we need to be back in the park/new worlds, which sounds like it might be the case.

We also need the Man in Black to be sinister and out there killing people. Season three MiB was hardly entertaining. Seasons one and two MiB is an all-time great character.

We need to get back to the roots of “Westworld,” and when we do, I have no doubt we’ll return to the greatness fans have come to expect.

Whenever new episodes arrive, you know I’ll be excited to roll!
