Dwayne Haskins recently made a bizarre claim about scouting reports.

According to Josh Rowntree, the former first round pick told the media Wednesday afternoon that he never had scouting info on opponents prior to playing in Pittsburgh. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“I think that coach Tomlin does a great job as far as giving you a scouting report of who you’re playing that week. I’ve never really had that before,” Haskins explained.

I’m supposed to believe that Urban Meyer during Haskins time at Ohio State and the coaches during his time in the NFL with Washington never gave him scouting reports?

I find that borderline impossible to believe. Scouting reports are common once you get to high school. Yet, Haskins apparently never got them while playing for one of the best college programs in the NFL or during the start of his NFL career.

Yeah, if you believe that, I have some oceanfront property in Montana with a gold gate and your name on it.

Maybe, Haskins meant something else, but that’s certainly not how it came off. It came off like prior to joining the Steelers, he was going into games blind.

Seeing as how successful the Buckeyes were with him, I find that almost impossible to believe.

Either way, Haskins seems to be rehabbing his career nicely as Big Ben’s backup. He’s certainly doing better than he was during his time with Washington!
