Camille Vasquez, the lawyer who skyrocketed to fame after representing Johnny Depp in his $10-million defamation suit against Amber Heard, has taken on another high-profile celebrity client.

Vasquez and attorney Steve Cook from Brown Rudnick LLP are representing “Yellowstone” actress Q’orianka Kilcher in her insurance fraud case against the State of California. Vasquez will attend Los Angeles court Wednesday on Kilcher’s behalf, according to TMZ.

The California Dept. of Insurances (CDOI) earlier in 2022 alleged Kilcher committed two counts of workers’ compensation insurance fraud. Officials from the organization claimed the famous actress collected over $90,000 in disability benefits that she was not rightfully entitled to, according to TMZ.

CDOI claimed Kilcher committed insurance fraud over the course of 2 years. Kilcher said she was suffering from a neck injury she’d been battling since injuring her back on the set of “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” in 2018, according to TMZ. CDOI accused Kilcher of collecting thousands of dollars worth of disability payments while simultaneously filming “Yellowstone” episodes in 2019, according to TMZ.

Vasquez has agreed to defend Kilcher, who claims she will be 10% disabled for the rest of her life and stands by the legitimacy of her injury, according to a source familiar, the outlet noted.

CDOI alleged Vasquez’s new celebrity client continued to collect disability benefits until 2021. Now, Kilcher is facing felony charges, according to TMZ. (RELATED:  REPORT: Johnny Depp Clinches 7-Figure Deal With Dior)

Vasquez and Cook reportedly spoke to TMZ  about the new, high-profile case.

“We are determined to defend Ms. Kilcher in this important case which examines the inherent flaws in the disability compensation system,” the representatives told the outlet. “Ms. Kilcher is a well-respected and pioneering actress in Hollywood and we intend to clear her name,” they reportedly continued.

Fans embraced Vasquez during Depp and Heard’s extensive 6-week trial, and the 38-year-old attorney was promptly promoted to partner of her law firm after she came out victorious in Depp’s case.
