Chevy Chase sat down with Bill Maher on the “Club Random” podcast and revealed the late John Belushi once stole his cocaine.

Chase and Maher spoke extensively about a number of topics, eventually making their way to a discussion about drugs. Chase shared a story about his days on the set of “Saturday Night Live,” and revealed to Maher that Belushi allegedly stole cocaine from him while on set.

“Anyway, I had it on the piano of the stage. So I’m just playing the piano, the crowd isn’t in yet, and it’s just sitting. After I played just a little bit, it’s gone,” Chase told Maher.

Chase went on to explain how he discovered that Belushi stole his vial of cocaine.

“After I played just a little bit, it’s gone. I had no idea how,” Chase said. “Obviously I was looking at my hands at the moment that John swooped in and took it.”

“So I immediately said, ‘Belushi, did you take my coke?’ ‘No, what are you talking about?’” Chase said.

Belushi denied taking the vial of cocaine, and Chase put the matter behind him until a month later, when he found himself in an interesting situation. (RELATED: Bradley Cooper Reveals The Depths Of His Struggle With Cocaine)

“I’m invited to dinner at John and Judy’s apartment and I see my little vial empty and washed, just sitting on a shelf by the books,” Chase said.

“I’m just remembering John and his f*cking drug problem but back then, the big drug was cocaine. Obviously John turned out to be coke head but I had a little jar of cocaine with a little spoon that hung from it,” he said.

Chase went on to explain that he gave up cocaine altogether roughly a month after finding his vial in Belushi’s home.

“I’m so glad I just put that stuff aside,” Chase said.
