A Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer reportedly showed pornography on his phone after connecting it to a school classroom projector for a presentation to students, according to Valley Central.
A CBP spokesperson told the outlet that “an inappropriate photo was inadvertently displayed” on the CBP Field Operations Office officer’s personal phone screen when it was unlocked during an outreach event at Sharyland North Junior High in McAllen, Texas. A police officer was requested at 1:57 p.m. local time, according to law enforcement.
A CBP spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the person involved in the incident was a part of the CBP Field Operations Office, not a border patrol officer.
“CBP stresses professionalism, honor and integrity and does not tolerate actions by any employee that would tarnish the agency’s reputation,” the spokesperson said Wednesday, according to ValleyCentral. “CBP is still collecting information and cannot comment any further as the situation is under investigation.” (RELATED: Dem-Led Cities Melting Down Over Migrants As Border Encounters Surge To Record High)
McAllen is located in southern Texas on the U.S.-Mexico Border, near a port of entry.

CBP took over 2.7 million enforcement actions in fiscal year 2022, surpassing the previous fiscal year by more than 40%, according to CBP data.
