Aaron Carter Dead At 34

Famous singer Aaron Carter, brother of Back Street Boys’ Nick Carter, died at age of 34 in his Lancaster, California, home Saturday morning.

Law enforcement officers reportedly responded to an 11 a.m. call and found Carter’s body in his bathtub, according to TMZ. The singer developed a career as a rapper and actor but had also struggled with addiction in recent years. It appears Carter drowned in his tub, but there have been no reports indicating if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time, according to TMZ.

Homicide detectives are investigating the scene, which is currently taped off with crime tape. It has been reported that many sheriff’s cars and paramedics were seen around Carter’s home. There has been no information released about possible foul play at this time, according to TMZ.

Aaron rose to fame as a pop singer in the late 90s and released four successful studio albums. Carter’s first self-titled album hit the shelves in 1997 when he was just 9 years old, according to TMZ. The young star sold over a million copies of his first album and tripled those sales with his second album titled, “Aaron’s Party.”

Carter went on to become a regular on Nickelodeon and toured with the Backstreet Boys during the height of the band’s fame. His long list of accomplishments in the entertainment industry included a stint on “Dancing With The Stars,” and an acting role in the Broadway production, “Seussical,” according to TMZ. Carter’s life was gripped by alcohol and substance abuse issues over the past several years. The child star attended multiple rehab facilities throughout his adult life, according to TMZ.

The investigation surrounding his death continues to unfold.

Carter is survived by his son Prince, who was born in November 2021.
