Kim Kardashian’s legal team reportedly obtained a restraining order Monday against a man named Andre Persaud who allegedly showed up at Kim K’s residence multiple times and claimed to be armed.

The restraining order included instructions for Persaud to remain at least 100 yards away from Kardashian for the next five years, TMZ reported, citing legal documents. Persaud is also prohibited from contacting Kardashian in any way. He previously posted messages online that disturbed the reality TV star, according to TMZ.

Persaud “claimed that I had been communicating with him telepathically,” Kardashian said, according to TMZ.

Kardashian grew concerned for her safety after Persaud repeatedly showed up at her residence, TMZ reported. She said Persaud showed up unexpectedly at least three times in August, the outlet continued, citing legal documents. Kardashian maintained she has never met Persaud in person and expressed fears he may escalate to physical violence, according to TMZ. Persaud’s claim about being armed had Kardashian particularly concerned for her safety, the outlet reported.

Under the restraining order Persaud is reportedly required to surrender any firearms he possesses. He is also prohibited from owning or possessing a gun over the course of the next five years, according to TMZ.
