Sometimes I wish this guy was still the head coach of my Miami Dolphins.

After the Detroit Lions scored a 34-23 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 11, Lions head coach Dan Campbell — who is currently in his second year coaching the team — gave his players a fiery speech that quite frankly could even get your 82-year-old grandmother hyped up.

“Man, stay hungry just like you are, man. We are on fire right now and we got to keep it,” said an intense Campbell, whose already-buff physique looked like it was about to explode.

I have a solid amount of experience with stuff like this from when Dan Campbell was the interim head coach of the Miami Dolphins back in 2015.

This was my first introduction to Campbell as a Dolphins fan, who got things started off immediately talking about violence and going back to the old tough days of football, and personally, I loved it.

And he gave us the fired-up speeches as well:

Don’t get me wrong, I love Mike McDaniel as our head coach, but every time I see Dan Campbell in the news, it makes me miss him being with the Dolphins. Detroit Lions fans are lucky. I really hope they realize how lucky they are, and by the looks of it on social media, they do.

Campbell has the Lions hot, winning five out of their last six games with a 6-7 record that has them right outside of the NFL playoff picture, being just behind the New York Giants who currently have the last NFC seed at 7-5-1. They’ve done this with minimal talent, by the way, and just traded tight end T.J. Hockenson to the Minnesota Vikings to boot. I mean, come on, Jared Goff is Campbell’s quarterback — there you go. I always saw this kind of potential in Dan Campbell. It’s just a shame that the Miami Dolphins didn’t give him more of a chance as their head coach, though like I said, I like Mike McDaniel.

It’s just hard not to be a fan of Dan Campbell.

Shout out to Detroit, the 313. I’m happy for you guys.
