Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to tease a big Thursday announcement.
Trump said he “will be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow” because “AMERICA NEEDS A SUPERHERO,” according to a video posted on Trump’s Truth Social account.
The Rumble video linked in Trump’s post shows a recording of Trump promising to make an announcement, followed by a cartoon version of him in a superhero costume with laser beams piercing from his eyes. The announcement will land a month from the day the former president launched his official 2024 presidential run at Mar-a-Lago on Nov. 15, remarking that “America’s comeback starts right now.”
“Our country needs a truly great leader, and we need a truly great leader now. We need a leader that wrote ‘The Art of the Deal.’ We need a leader that can bring back our jobs, can bring back our manufacturing, can bring back our military, take care of our Vets. Out Vets have been abandoned,” Trump said during his speech launching his third White House bid.
Fox News host Todd Starnes suspects that Trump’s announcement is likely connected to his presidential campaign. “Pure speculation – but he could announce that he’s running as an Independent candidate or he may have decided he simply wants to be a “King Maker.” Again – pure speculation,” Starnes wrote.
While one Twitter user said they see Trump declaring “his VP pick tomorrow…or a lawsuit,” another wondered if the video was hinting at the former president’s return to Twitter.
