What happens in Vegas … actually doesn’t stay in Vegas.

Earlier in March, Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller and Las Vegas Aces guard Kelsey Plum got married, establishing themselves as a Sin City power couple. However, those plans have been ruined just two weeks later.

It was revealed Tuesday that they’re fresh marriage will now be forced to be long distance from Vegas to the Big Apple, nearly cross-country, because of Waller being traded to the New York Giants, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. For shipping off Waller, the Raiders receive a third-round draft pick (No. 100 overall).

Well, in the aftermath, Plum had some thoughts about why the move was made by head coach Josh McDaniels:

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Darren Waller and Kelsey Plum are pretty happy being married now, but you know it had to sting them just a little bit that they were setting themselves up to be a Las Vegas power couple, just for those plans to get completely nixed only a couple of weeks later.

But you know what they say: “Look at the bright side.” (RELATED: REPORT: Packers, Jets In Standoff Over Potential Aaron Rodgers Trade)

At least Waller got traded to another cool major metropolitan in New York City, and at least it was to a franchise like the Giants, an organization that knows how to win a Super Bowl. He could’ve been a Jet, or even worse: get traded to some lame and cold city like Minneapolis or somewhere like that.

Gotta look at the positives here, because I hate it for them that they lost their Vegas power couple status.
