Actor Ben Affleck said Wednesday that he is “kind of disturbed” that his wife, singer Jennifer Lopez, is really into the hit cowboy drama “Yellowstone.”

Talking with Matt Damon on “The Bill Simmons Podcast” to promote their new film, “Air,” Affleck admitted that his wife is a big fan of Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount series. Lopez is especially into two of the characters: Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), according to Affleck.

“I’m kind of disturbed that my wife really likes ‘Yellowstone,'” Affleck said, laughing. Apparently J-Lo and Affleck are both fans of Reilly, who portrays the only daughter of fictional Montana Gov. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) on the series. Affleck noted that Reilly’s work was “excellent” as Beth, and that he had no idea she was British.

Beth and Rip have a rocky romance on the show, stretching across their childhoods and into their adult lives. While it hasn’t always been pretty, their love is real, and they were married in the season four finale of the show.

“Jen showed me a clip of [Beth] off of Instagram, the monologue she has in the car about the ways to become rich,” Affleck continued. “And then she was like, ‘I love this story of these two.'” Affleck’s response was, “I was like, ‘Wait a minute? With Cole? With Hauser? What do you love about it?'” Damon and Simmons both laughed repeatedly at his commentary. (RELATED: ‘Yellowstone’ Creator Reportedly ‘Furious’ With Kevin Costner)

Hauser has been friends with Damon and Affleck for more than 30 years after the trio appeared in “School Ties” together in 1992, according to Insider. They also worked together on cult-hit movies “Good Will Hunting” and “Dazed and Confused.”

“To tell you the truth, I was always mystified that Cole wasn’t a giant movie star,” Damon noted, saying that Hauser has had “pure raw talent” since the age of 16. As for his role as Rip? “He is very convincing as that guy. I think America believes he is Rip. He’s perfect,” Affleck stated.
