Oklahoma City just won’t let it go.

It’s been seven years since Kevin Durant last suited up for the Oklahoma City Thunder, but that hasn’t stopped the fan base from still having a distaste for the two-time NBA champion after he left OKC in 2016.

Clearly not over what happened back then, Thunder fans absolutely slammed Durant with vicious boos as he was introduced Sunday ahead of a game between the Thunder and Durant‘s Phoenix Suns. A few cheers were also heard for the superstar, but the vast majority had negative feelings towards KD.

It was a true “tough crowd” moment:

Here’s what Durant had to say after the game:

Wow, I’ll be honest (and I love Kevin Durant), but I was not expecting that reaction from him.

Usually, KD is standoffish and has no problem with taking shots at someone. And he was completely mature and a stand-up guy in his comments. Looks like Kevin Durant has matured a little bit, and it was pretty cool to see. The Phoenix Suns might be able to get a championship out of this.
