The 2023 Baltimore Orioles have a ton of swagger.
Unveiling new celebrations on back-to-back days, the Baltimore Orioles seem to be using water-themed ones to show off their “drip” (slang for swagger), which features the glorious dong bong and … sprinklers?
If you didn’t see my Tuesday blog about it, the Orioles unveiled a celebration called the dong bong (also known as the O’s Hydration Station). When Baltimore hits a home run, they use it as a prop to celebrate the knock.

The Orioles have a Home Run Celebration beer bong that they pour water into. Can’t believe the 2022 Phillies didn’t think of this. We may have a new bro-iest team in baseball. pic.twitter.com/u8R9dpeZB6

Against the Oakland Athletics Tuesday night, the Orioles unveiled another celebration — this time for doubles. And they call it the sprinkler.
During the first inning, Baltimore’s outfielder Austin Hays hit a double into left field, and when he got to second base, he acted like he was a sprinkler … and so did his teammates:

One thing is for sure: The Baltimore Orioles will definitely be the most hydrated team in the league this season.
And maybe they have some potential?
Yeah, they’ve been able to bully the Oakland Athletics (who are in such a bad state that they’re probably going to move to Las Vegas soon), but still … a 6-5 start is solid for the Orioles. I’m curious to see if they can build on that. (RELATED: Tampa Bay Rays Tie 23-Year-Old Record With Elite 11-0 Start To Season)
And with the swagger that they (obviously) have in 2023, I don’t see why they can’t.
Shoutout to Baltimore! And shoutout to the DMV!
