Jane Schneck, mother of Nick Carter and the late Aaron Carter, was reportedly arrested for battery in Florida on Friday night, according to TMZ.

Law enforcement officials indicated that Schneck had been drinking with relatives and at some point in the evening, and the situation became heated and eventually turned physical, according to TMZ. Reports indicate she was listening to music very loudly on the television, making it impossible for her husband to go to sleep. Sources indicate the two became entangled in an argument over the remote control, and Jane grabbed her husband’s wrist, which prompted him to phone police for assistance, according to TMZ.

Sources close to the situation reported that Schneck’s husband had pulled out his cell phone to record her behavior, which seems to have upset her, leading her to grab at the hand that was holding the phone, according to TMZ. Her husband reportedly didn’t like how she touched him, and reached out for assistance from the authorities.

Police arrived on scene and reportedly viewed the video recording on Schneck’s husbands cell phone. Based on the behavior they saw in the footage they deemed it appropriate to take her into custody, according to TMZ.
