“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said on Wednesday she wanted Hunter Biden’s laptop to “crumble to death.”

The co-hosts downplayed Hunter’s charges related to an illegal gun purchase and failing to pay his taxes in 2017 and 2018. Assuming the laptop has no criminal evidence against Biden, Goldberg said the computer should be searched so Republicans stop talking about it.

“I want them to go through that, what is that thing called? That damn laptop. I am so sick of hearing about this laptop. This laptop, I hope it just crumbles to death. I hate it so much,” Goldberg said.

“The thing about the laptop, Whoopi, is that … we know we had this terrible addiction problem and that’s why he got a diversion program for the gun charge,” co-host Sunny Hostin added. “The laptop, unfortunately from what I’ve seen and read, there are pictures of him nude, there are pictures of him with women and using drugs. And with guns.”

“Here’s what I want. I want them to shut up about it,” Goldberg continued. “Go after him for whatever you, you know, it’s not gonna stop you all from going after Biden. Everybody knows that. You don’t have to tell us. We know you’re gonna keep looking because you’re lookers. You look away when there’s something actually worth seeing, but you’re gonna look for something that isn’t really there.” (RELATED: ‘No One Is Above The Law’: Sunny Hostin Defends Hunter Biden Charges)

“So I want y’all to do your damness to get all the stuff you need to get because that’s what we did,” she went on. “They made a case so strong in four or five states that they could take the task because you can’t do the stuff that he did. If you can find something, then show the nation. But stop holding up BS stuff when there’s nothing there.”

The co-hosts did not mention the receipts and evidence regarding Hunter’s businesses dealings with Ukrainian oil company, Burisma, and Chinese energy company CEFC China Energy. Republicans have alluded to finding evidence of criminal wrongdoing on the laptop by Hunter, his father, and his uncle.

An FBI whistleblower alleged the Biden family’s involvement in a bribery scheme with Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky, in which the Ukrainian oligarch would have paid then-Vice President Joe Biden — allegedly “The Big Guy” — $5 million in bribes.
