Country singer Miranda Lambert abruptly halted her concert to scold fans that were taking selfies while she was performing at her Las Vegas residency Saturday night.

Lambert was well into singing her hit song “Tin Man” when she began getting annoyed with some female fans taking selfies in the crowd. The famous country singer instructed her band to pause the live music and then she gestured for the fans to put their cell phones away. Fan video captured her annoyance with the situation.

“I’m going to stop right here for a second,” Lambert said.

Lambert went on to tell the girls how she really felt about the moments they were trying to capture on their phones.

“These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song,” Lambert said.

“It’s pissing me off a little bit. I don’t like it. At all,” she said.

The crowd cheered loudly in support of Lambert’s concert pause.

“We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music.”

Fans continued to cheer and whistle loudly and began to applaud Lambert’s scolding of the selfie-takers.

The country music star was satisfied that the fans had complied and was encouraged by the crowd. She then took it from the top and started to sing “Tin Man” once more. (RELATED: The Kid LAROI Abruptly Stops Concert After Security Issue With Fans)

Social media comments were mixed, with some supporting Lambert’s decision to cease singing, while others expressed outrage. Angered fans argued that they had paid high ticket prices in order to attend the live concert and noted that taking selfies was an expression of their excitement over the experience.

Lambert is currently headlining her Velvet Rodeo residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and has concerts lined up until December.
