Wiz Khalifa’s security team sprang into action when three masked robbers attempted to break into his home while the rapper was performing on stage.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed that three male suspects attempted to gain entry into Wiz Khalifa’s Los Angeles property through the side gate of his home at roughly 6:38 p.m. Sunday, according to TMZ. The artist’s security team was alerted and immediately attempted to apprehend the suspects. They fled on foot and managed to get away, the outlet reported.

Both Wiz Khalifa’s security team and the LAPD attempted to locate the suspects without any luck, according to TMZ. The police department launched an investigation after filing an attempted robbery report.

Wiz Khalifa was performing live on stage in Michigan as art of his High School Reunion Tour at the time of the alleged attempted heist. He took to social media to address the issue when he was made aware of the situation that had reportedly unfolded at his home.

“3 niggas wit Pooh shiesty masks tried to run in my crib while i was on stage,” Wiz Khalifa tweeted Monday.

There is no further suspect information at the time of writing.
