Travis Kelce revealed he thinks the NFL is “overdoing it” with the coverage of his rumored romance with Taylor Swift.
In the newest episode of “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” the Kansas City Chiefs star shared his honest thoughts on NFL broadcasts highlighting Swift’s attendance at his games.
“Let’s get right to it. Is the NFL overdoing it?” Jason Kelce asked his brother about an hour into the show. “What is your honest opinion? Take away your feelings for Taylor,” he said, making Travis laugh.
“I think it’s fun when they show who is at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time, I think they’re overdoing it a little bit,” the Chief’s tight end admitted.

Swift attended Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, as did other stars, including Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Sophie Turner and Hugh Jackman.
Jason Kelce theorized the NFL was “just not used to celebrities coming to the games.”
“Like basketball has it figured out,” he said. “They show them once or twice, but they get back to the game. NFL is like, ‘Oh my god, look at all these A-list celebrities at the game! Keep showing them! Show ’em! Show ’em!'” Jason said.
“You show them once. Let them know they’re there. Maybe after a touchdowns, you get a little clip, but you can’t be overboard with it. People are there to watch the game, right?” Jason said.
The Kelce and Swift dating rumors ramped up when Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears game on Sept. 24. A video posted to Twitter showed Swift hanging out with Kelce’s mom, leading some to speculate the two were dating.
Since then, Kelce’s jersey sales have skyrocketed.
There was “a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com,” a spokesperson told The Associated Press (AP) via email.
