Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku uploaded several photos Wednesday to reveal facial burns he recently sustained in September.
Njoku suffered burns on his face and arm due to a “household accident” in September, but he remained tight-lipped at the time regarding the specific details of the incident. It’s unclear when the photos of Njoku, posted on his Instagram, were taken, however the burns appear quite serious. He captioned the post: “Legacy.” (RELATED: What The Heck Is Going On In Cleveland? This has led people to doubt his ability to play against the Ravens, but he got creative in covering his burns as he arrived at the stadium Oct. 2 to play with the Browns. The athlete rallied through the game wearing extra facial protection in the form of a mask.
Numerous fans praised Njoku in the comment section of the post. “Still played the game and balled out.. A team player with heart,” one fan said.
