Heidi Klum traded her Victoria’s Secret angel wings for peacock feathers this Halloween, and it’s not what fans expected.
The supermodel is known for hosting an elaborate Halloween bash in New York City each year, and she always stuns when she makes a grand entrance to reveal her costume. Her over-the-top looks take hours to create, and often rely heavily on prosthetics, but this year, Klum went in an entirely different direction, creating a multi-person peacock with the help of Cirque du Soleil.

Klum served as the head and torso of the pheasant, while the Cirque du Soleil performers represented its legs and tail.
Klum and the performers assembled to create a human pyramid, with the acrobats contorting their bodies to simulate a peacock expanding its feathers. The acrobats threw their legs and arms up in different directions to reveal the oversized tail as Klum crawled between them, and climbed atop the thighs of another performer to take the central spot in the costume.

The supermodel wore a prosthetic beak on her face to mimic that of a peacock. Her headpiece was designed by Bill Corso, and she gave her long-time collaborator a shoutout in the caption of her Instagram post.
Klum appeared in a velour, cobalt blue sparkly unitard and painted her hands in blue and green to match.
“It’s very comfortable,” she said prior to the party, according to The New York Times.

Klum teased her costume heavily on social media before posting a series of videos showcasing her unique costume.

Fans offered mixed reviews of this year’s costume choice. Some slammed the supermodel, calling the human peacock underwhelming compared to her previous efforts, while others gave Klum props for outdoing herself once again.
