“The View” co-host Ana Navarro claimed Thursday that many people cheat on their taxes and influence peddle just like Hunter Biden.

The younger Biden defied a congressional subpoena Wednesday by not appearing in a closed-door deposition with the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees to answer questions about his family’s overseas business dealings. Oversight Committee chairman James Comer and Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan are in the process of holding Biden in contempt of congress.

While Navarro admitted that Biden used his family name as influence peddling and failed to pay $1 million in taxes over a four year period, she claimed he is just like many people. The younger Biden is currently facing nine counts related to his taxes in California, and is charged with three counts in Delaware for purchasing a Colt Cobra revolver while addicted to drugs in October 2018.

“Look, did Hunter Biden influence peddle on his last name? Yes, he did. So did half of Washington. People sitting at this table did it! Did Hunter Biden cheat on his taxes? Yes, he did!” Navarro said.

“Who at this table peddled on their last name?” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked.

“I did,” co-host Sunny Hostin joked.

“Can I go back to my point please?…Alright. Did he use his last name? Did he monetize Joe Biden’s last name? Yes, he did. That’s not a crime,” Navarro said. “Did Hunter Biden cheat on his taxes? Yes, he did. He has admitted it. He paid it back. He paid it back with $600,000 penalty. Fifteen percent of Americans cheat on their taxes.” (RELATED: ‘No One Is Above The Law’: Sunny Hostin Defends Hunter Biden Charges)

“Say that again,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg chimed in.

“15.5% of Americans cheat on their taxes and you know how many get prosecuted? Less than one percent!” Navarro said.

Goldberg then invoked former President Donald Trump, who she accused of cheating on his taxes.

Navarro said about one-third of Americans have a family member who has struggled with a drug addiction. She accused Republicans of trying to get the younger Biden addicted to drugs again to “paralyze” his father.

“I think this is going to backfire on Republicans because yes, Hunter Biden did bad things when he was an addict, but enough is enough and they are being cruel and they are going after him just because he is Joe Biden’s son,” Navarro continued.

Co-host Sara Haines said there is no point in investigating the Biden family’s business dealings when there are Americans struggling. Hostin said the impeachment inquiry is a waste of American taxpayer dollars.
