San Antonio Spurs rookie center phenom Victor Wembanyama pulled off an improbable 10-block triple-double in a rare performance Monday night.

Wembanyama filled the stat sheet with 27 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks in a massive effort.

And he did so in only 29 minutes. He also added five assists and two steals.

He’s the first rookie with a 10-block triple-double since 1990, when another rookie Spurs center, David Robinson, pulled it off. (RELATED: Detroit Pistons Cut Lottery Pick Killian Hayes After He Requested A Trade)

His five assists alongside the triple-double make him just the fifth player to have that stat line, joining Robinson and other Hall of Famers Hakeem Olajuwon, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Ralph Sampson, according to the twitter account, NBA History.

His efforts led the struggling Spurs to a rare win over the Toronto Raptors, with a final score of 122-99.

He’s also the first player in the 2023-2024 season to record 10 blocks.

The freakish French 7’4″ center was the first overall pick in the NBA draft for a reason. Currently leading the Spurs in scoring with over 20 points per game, Wembanyama is averaging a double-double with 10 rebounds per game as well.

Wemby might be the most fun player to watch since Steph Curry broke out. He can literally do it all; shoot the three-ball, dish out assists like a point guard. And, obviously, he’s a block machine.
