Tom Brady’s representatives were reportedly quick to clap back Wednesday after hearing about Gisele Bundchen’s flourishing relationship.
Various media outlets picked up on an interview with People that detailed Bundchen’s relationship timeline with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. A source close to the matter reported that Bundchen and Valente maintained a platonic relationship until her divorce from Brady was finalized. Still, Brady’s connections got fired up and contacted the press, claiming they had been intimately involved while Bundchen was still married, according to TMZ.

Sources close to Bundchen reported she was friends with Valente until June 2023, when their relationship began to evolve more intimately. Brad’s reps don’t seem to be buying it, and they wasted no time trying to get the story updated. Multiple sources connected to Brady told TMZ he believes his ex-wife began dating Valente long before the time declared in People’s interview, and they suggested an update be made to reflect their version of events.
“They should add 2021 after June. Then the headline would be accurate,” Brady’s sources told TMZ.

This information is dramatically different than the statement released by those close to Bundchen, who told People “they have been dating since June. They’re taking it slow. They started out as great friends first.”
The matter may be difficult to unravel, since Bundchen and Brady have known Valente for several years. Their two children took jiu-jitsu lessons with him, and Bundchen also enrolled in classes with Valente herself, according to TMZ.

Brady has been linked to other women since his divorce, including Irina Shayk. Still, the sources close to him seem intent on adjusting the way Bundchen and Valente’s relationship has been reported.
