Kevin Durant has clearly wrapped himself in the flag.

During Sunday’s game between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers at Footprint Center, the teams were in the middle of a timeout. And if you’ve ever been to a basketball game, you know that they like to show videos on the jumbotron to keep fans entertained until the action starts back up.

Well, that’s exactly what happened here, and it happened to be a clip from Kevin Durant‘s Boardroom interview that showed the two-time NBA champion speaking with his agent, Rich Kleiman, about Team USA Basketball and the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“I’m trying to play real minutes, I’m trying to be responsible and have a real role and I know that’s going to come for the work I put in practice and all of that stuff, but I’m ready for that and I’m excited about being around that bond and USA brotherhood again, man,” Durant says in the video. “It’s unmatched.” (RELATED: Heat Nearly Pulled Off LeBron, Wade, Paul, Bosh Big 4 — It Was Ridiculously Flubbed Up Over A Battle For Jersey No. 3)

And then KD dropped this gem: “I want to really make a statement on how dominant our players are. Like 40, 50-point wins. I want to do that.”

Quite frankly, this whole scene sounds like a magical opportunity for Durant, which will likely end with the good old U.S. of A. bringing home the gold.

The Phoenix Suns set up this whole scene perfectly. It’s clear that Kevin Durant will be a leader on the team, and with LeBron James being LeBron James, you’ll know he’ll be co-captain.

I smell dominance! KD and company are about to conquer Paris like it’s 1940!
