Women’s professional golf tour NXXT Golf is updating its eligibility policy to only allow biological females to compete on their tours, the Daily Caller has learned.

“Effective immediately, competitors must be a biological female at birth to participate,” a statement provided to the Daily Caller read. “This decision underscores the organization’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of women’s professional golf and ensuring fair competition.”

NXXT Golf’s CEO, Stuart McKinnon, said the decision was meant to protect women in sports.

“Our revised policy is a reflection of our unwavering commitment to celebrating and protecting the achievements and opportunities of female athletes. Protected categories are a fundamental aspect of sports at all levels, and it is essential for our Tour to uphold these categories for biological females, ensuring a level playing field,” McKinnon said in the statement.

A trans golfer, Hailey Davidson, won the NXXT Women’s Classic in January, prompting NXXT to conduct a poll asking their players how they felt about competing against the biological male.  (RELATED: There’s A Silver Lining To Biden’s Border Nightmare That Will Have Golf Fans Cheering)

“In light of recent events, we have initiated a poll among our tour players to gather their opinions on our gender policy. We believe it is vital to consider the perspectives of those directly affected by these policies,” a January statement from NXXT read.
