Notorious internet celebrity Dan Bilzerian, who has slept with thousands of women, went viral Monday for finally admitting the truth about monogamy.

Bilzerian told the Mighty Pursuit podcast in March that he “was having sex with three girls a day on average” and often increased those numbers up to nine on one day. But for the first time ever, it seemed like Bilzerian wasn’t bragging.

“I had this image in my mind when I was growing up of like, how awesome this would be,” he continued, presumably referring to sleeping with thousands of different women over the course of his life. “What I kind of landed on was I think it’s like, better to have a monogamous relationship, as strange as that is coming from me,” he laughed.

“You got two choices. You can just, like, do whatever you want, and you know, be free, and allow the women to be free, and just use condoms with all the girls and not care about if they hook up with other guys, and it’s just purely sexual and whatever,” he explained. “Or I think you can find a girl that you enjoy spending time with and that you actually trust each other but I think it’s unlikely to find a woman that is going to be okay with you sleeping with other women that actually cares about you for the right reasons.”

The commentary suggests a sudden emotional revolution for Bilzerian. His perspective shift may seem like a “well duh” statement for many, but he’s built a massive following for himself by being the guy constantly surrounded by beautiful women.

Bilzerian went on to acknowledge that even if a woman says she’s okay with an open relationship, the process can actually cause “internal damage to her.” (RELATED: Dan Bilzerian Asks Women To Stop Sending Him Nude Photos)

“I do think that one cool girl that does stuff with you, that you actually have a mental connection with, I think the sex is better. I think you’re more relaxed. I think you have less things to deal with, less distractions, your energy is not being pulled in a bunch of different directions,” he noted. “So I think there is hope to the longer term monogamy and staying attracted to the woman.”

Bilzerian hasn’t posted to Instagram since August 2023, a strange turn for the man who seemingly built his entire career as one of the original influencers on the platform. But there might be an answer for that sudden change, too.

“Achieving the result is never as good as what you think achieving the results going to feel like. I got to this point where I was like — I remember distinctly, I’ll never forget it — I owned a plane, had the biggest house in all of Los Angeles. I had one of the biggest houses in Vegas, had every car, I bought a Ferrari and put like 75 miles on the motherfucker in a year. I had all the chicks. I’m on this 300-foot yacht. 27 models like cutting throats to bang me,” he explained. “And I’m like, damn, I was happier before surfing with my buddies. In my mind, I’m like this is fucked up.” (RELATED: Rand Paul Snapchats Poker Game With Instagram Playboy Dan Bilzerian [VIDEO])

So what is Bilzerian’s answer to all this?

“When you have basic needs met you’re doing good. You’re better than like most of the population but we forget that because most people live such a comfortable life that you take so many things for granted like not having to walk outside and take a shit at night in an outhouse when it’s 30 degrees,” he stated. “One of my happiness hacks is just being grateful for stuff that you have.”
