Famous actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson pushed back against the 24-year age difference between him and his wife during a recent interview.
The 33-year-old “Avengers: Endgame” star, admitted to not being able to understand the public’s fascination with his marriage to 57-year-old Sam Taylor-Johnson. He met the director in 2008 when he auditioned for her directorial debut, the John Lennon biopic, “Nowhere Boy.” The two have been married since 2012, but that hasn’t stopped the press from questioning their relationship, according to his interview with RollingStone. “You’re doing something too quickly for someone else? I don’t understand that,” he said about the barrage of questions about his personal life.

Taylor-Johnson, pegged as being the next to play James Bond in the franchise, said he didn’t understand why there was so much interest in his relationship, and questioned the constant pressure to explain himself against the judgement associated with the age difference between himself and his wife.
“What speed are you supposed to enjoy life at? It’s bizarre to me,” he told RollingStone.
He addressed the difference between his childhood and life in the spotlight, as compared to the average person’s experiences.

Speaking of both his personal life and his career, he said, “What you gotta realize is that what most people were doing in their twenties, I was doing when I was 13.”
Taylor-Johnson and his wife have a lot in common, and are both heavily immersed in the entertainment industry.
“Sam is actually a great filmmaker and a wonderful storyteller,” he told RollingStone.

Speaking of her upcoming Amy Wineshouse biopic he said, “People will think there’s sort of a bias to me saying it, but I think when they see Back to Black everyone’s going to realize how fantastic a filmmaker she is,” he said. (RELATED: Insiders Predict Sydney Sweeney Will Be The New Bond Girl)

The pair were engaged in 2009, and announced Sam was pregnant with their first child in Jan. 2010. Their first daughter, Wylda Rae was born Jul. 2021, and their second daughter, Romy Hero, was born Jan. 2012. Sam has two older daughters from a previous relationship, according to RollingStone.
