Ohio’s Avon Police Department (APD) is investigating the death of 18-year-old Paul L. Allen, who died Saturday after a game of tag, News 5 Cleveland reported.

Avon police said that Allen sustained a fatal injury when he jumped on a moving vehicle as part of the game, Fox 8 reported. Allen fell backward from the impact and struck his head on the roadway, police said, according to News 5 Cleveland.

The driver of the vehicle and Allen knew each other and had been “involved in a game of tag with squirt guns,” Avon police said. When police arrived on the scene, a female was giving Allen CPR, but ultimately, the teenager died after being transported to the hospital, Fox 8 reported.

Avon is a city of a little over 25,000 inhabitants, according to a 2022 census. (RELATED: Horrifying Video Appears To Show Moment Elderly Man Allegedly Shoots Uber Driver)
